Fun facts about chinese music ! *On 14 July 2009, Fushun city, Liaoning province, China, was the venue for two Guinness World Records™ achievements. *The first record was the largest flute ensemble, with 1,975 participants, which comfortably broke the previous record of 1,701. *Second record is a disctinctive flute at the event. The instrument was 3.25 m (10 ft 8 in) long and 5 cm (2 in) in diameter and was verified as the largest flute in the world, breaking the previous record held by an instrument 1.52 m (5 ft) long. It was a scaled-up version of a normal-sized flute and was playable – as three musicians proved, by playing it together! |
